Federal Law - If You Have Been Convicted of a Felony, Your are not legally allowed to own Body-Armor

We cannot ship anything bulletproof directly to customers  in Connecticut (per- Conneticut Law)


There are no Background checks done for body armor, However Federal law prohibits those convicted of felonies and certain other offenses from possessing a firearm or body armor.  That law is codified in 18 U.S.C. § 931, which provides as follows:

 

(a) In General.—Except as provided in subsection (b), it shall be unlawful for a person to purchase, own, or possess body armor, if that person has been convicted of a felony that is—

(1) a crime of violence (as defined in section 16); or

(2) an offense under State law that would constitute a crime of violence under paragraph (1) if it occurred within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States.

 

Each State has its own laws in regards to owning body armor. It is your responsibility to know your local laws and requirements to owning body armor before purchase. Body Armor cannot be shipped to residence in Connecticut. All body armor sales must be made in person in Connecticut.

All body armor for use with our jackets and bag/shields has been tested and rated to protect the wearer against threats within the specified NIJ level In conjunction to the items description in the product description of what you're ordering.

No armor is 100% bulletproof. Among other things, specialized armor piercing bullets and ultra-high velocity rounds may not be stopped by armor. No soft body armor will completely protect against rifle or long gun ammunition. For protection against rifle threats, Level IV hard armor to be used in conjunction with your soft body armor. Always refer to your ballistic panel inserts to determine the level of your armor.

The routine use of appropriate soft body armor significantly reduces the likelihood of fatal injury, but 100% protection in all circumstances is impossible. Body armor selection is to some extent a trade-off between ballistic protection and wear ability. The weight and comfort of soft body armor is inversely proportional to the level of ballistic protection that it provides.” -- National Institute of Justice.
